Real Avatar Hallelujah Mountains.

The mountains in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in southeast China have a striking resemblance to the Hallelujah Mountains in Avatar. In fact, sources say that James Cameron spent time shooting there in 2008. One mountain in particular has been renamed “Avatar Hallelujah Mountain”. Previously known as “Southern Sky Column” the 35oo ft peak seen below would seem to have been an inspiration for Cameron.
