I Want That! Motorola Atrix 4G

27 Jan 2011, written by Revelation 0 Comments

Pushing the limits of the terms “4G” and “world’s most powerful” is the new Motorola Atrix 4G ($TBA). Running Android 2.2 and packing a host of high-end features like a 1 GHz dual-core processor, a “qHD” 960 x 540 screen, 1 GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage with a microSD slot for expansion, HSPA+, front- and rear-facing cameras, HD video capture, a biometric fingerprint reader for secure access, dual mics for noise-reduction, 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi 802.11n support, and a 1930 mAh battery, the Atrix also works with a new “laptop dock” for expanded multi-tasking and browsing with a full version of Firefox, which we feel is it’s most revolutionary feature. Looks pretty sweet to us.

Water Drops

27 Jan 2011, written by Revelation 0 Comments

This artist takes water and slow mo to another level with his HD photography of water movement in action. It is really amazing to see water frozen in time to get to see the true beauty of the free form and smooth shapes it creates. One great thing is you will never run out of new material, as water will never duplicate an exact form, just like a finger print I guess.

Monkey Business Illustrations

26 Jan 2011, written by Revelation 0 Comments

I can’t tell you what these are from, or who made them, because the site I saw them on was in some sort of language that I think went extinct 500 years ago. So here is my description of these illustrations, monkeys in different human styles. There you go, all done, I’m on fire today. On a serious note these things are pretty awesome, and weird as shit too. Now excuse me while I go back to sleigh riding and drinking 151 out of a Gatorade bottle. (click on images to enlarge)

Tosh.0 Web Redemption – The Ice Cream Truck Guy

26 Jan 2011, written by Revelation 0 Comments

Remember that guy who got hit by an ice cream truck? If not watch the original video here. Why the fuck he was dancing in the street, anyway? Apparently he was making a rap video, and last night Daniel Tosh helped him finish that video with what can only be described as awesome results. (Actual music video starts at 3:10 but the interview is just as hilarious.)

“Lazy Teenage Superheros” Short Film

26 Jan 2011, written by Revelation 0 Comments

I saw this movie online a week or so ago but as soon as I saw the 12 minute length I threw it on the back burner. Yes that is how short my attention span is, a 12 minute “short film” is too long for me to sit through and watch. How fucking long should a short film be then 45 seconds? Well I finally got the strength and will power to give the movie a shot and boy was I surprised. Created by Michael Ashton with just $300. Lazy Teenage Superheroes is the opposite of Kick Ass – jerks who have super powers but only use them to help themselves and it is hilarious. Check it out if you got 12 minutes to spare you won’t be disappointed.

Your Job Isn’t So Bad

26 Jan 2011, written by Revelation 0 Comments

Right now you are probably like the rest of the world, and sitting in a cubicle hating life right now, staring outside the window while the snow piles up, and just thinking to yourself that getting into a 9 vehicle car crash on the highway would be better then working right now. And you are probably right because your job probably isn’t all that fun, but on the bright side, there are worse jobs out there, and here are some pictures to make you feel better about the shitty job that you have.

The History Of Hip-Hop Told Through Beatboxing

25 Jan 2011, written by Revelation 0 Comments

When I first saw this I immediately said that someone needs to get Vin Diesel a record deal. But it isn’t Vinny Diez, it is french beat box phenomenon EKLIPS performing a 4 minute history of HIP HOP for Trace Urban… In one single take! Of course you are going to have the nitpickers say he is missing this rapper, or this producer, but overall he nails it. I personally thought he could have used a little more Wacka Flocka Flame, but that’s just me, psych.

52 Bad Dudes

25 Jan 2011, written by Revelation 0 Comments

Here is an awesome series by Adam Sidwell dedicated to 52 (one per week of 2010) bad characters from your favorite cult movies. His great style is also pretty various, from more clean vectorial look to “painted”. So many of these not only spark up childhood memories, but I loved the characters he picked, definitely not the conventional “bad guys” you see on every other bad guy list. The best part about these is they are available for purchase right here. You can also go to Sidwell’s website found here for more information on the prints and a great interview all about the project and himself. Here are a bunch of the posters I really liked but of course I didn’t include them all so check out his site for the others. O and if you do like something act fast because they are taken down after a certain amount are purchased, enjoy.

Blood Brothers Mixtapes

Blood Brothers Mixtapes

The Blood Bros. are, for lack of a better description, an awesome DJ duo with an awesome goal: creating mix tapes compiled from the best 80′s action movie songs. A quick listen to the first few minutes of each track (after the jump) on their two mixes will have you running in gym sweats or bench pressing logs faster than you can say “Adriaann!”. The duo’s original mix First Blood followed-up with Heaven2Hell stretch out for 40 and 45 minutes of pure work-out-montage perfection. Each compilation is also choreographed to follow the plot of a classic good guy triumphs over the bad guy flick, so the opening tunes are all about training, which then transitions to the fight, and finally the glorious thrill of victory. Classics like Eye of the Tiger and Joe Episito’s You’re the Best Around from the Karate Kid are included along with plenty of other gems. We will start with the more recent mixtape created by Derek ‘DJA’ Allen and Dirty South Joe. Put this mix on and remind yourself to PUSH IT TO THE LIMIT AND STARE DOWN YOUR DEMONS!
