“Pier Pressure” New Art Installation From Banksy

31 Aug 2010, written by Revelation 0 Comments

The latest art installation from Banksy popped up at Brighton Pier in England. The re-purposed child’s ride features a dolphin tangled up in fishing nets attempting to escape a leaking BP oil drum, can you say genius. It’s funny how when something isn’t hot news anymore the American media tends to completely shut it out of the headlines. Since they stopped the oil I haven’t heard one word on how the clean up was going and or the effects it is having. It’s old news so out of sight out of mind, so much so your kids are bound to ride it with a big smile on their face.

True Statistics Of American Soldier Deaths

25 Aug 2010, written by Revelation 1 Comments

Shocked to discover the statistic that 2 times more American soldiers that served in Iraq had died in 2009 by committing suicide than those killed in combat during that same year hadn’t been properly addressed in the press and is unknown by a majority of the general population, New York-based installation artist Sebastian Errazuriz took to the wall outside of his studio in Brooklyn.

If Facebook Recorded Historical Events

23 Aug 2010, written by Revelation 0 Comments

It’s really weird to think of how historical figures or other celebs would act and use their facebook pages back in the day. Especially with every pro athlete and famous figure using twitter, the news loves it because they get to quote ridiculous things that come out of their mouth. Here are some classic events in history that are documented by facebook, because everything that happens in life has to be posted on facebook, everyone knows that.

50 Year Giant Iceberg Satellite Photos.

12 Aug 2010, written by ZootPatrol.com 0 Comments

On August 6th a giant iceberg 4 times the size of Manhattan broke off the Petermanns Glacier in Greenland. The biggest Iceberg in 50 years is now drifting southwest towards Canada and could slowly make it’s way down to New Foundland. The berg is making headlines because of it’s massive size and it’s threat to oil platforms and shipping lanes. Icebergs have been tug boated and broken up by people before to eliminate collisions but nothing of this size. The European Space Agency released satellite photos of the ice breaking from the glacier. Andreas Muenchow, a University of Delware ice scientist noted to the Montreal Gazette that the freshwater stored in the ice island “could keep the Delaware or Hudson rivers flowing for more than two years” and could keep “all U.S. public tap water flowing for 120 days.” I’m not one to buy into 2012 end of the world theories, but something about stopping a giant iceberg collision with our modern world feels a little more alarming than the increasing number of natural disasters we keep seeing year after year.

The Effects Of Aging On Presidents In Office

10 Aug 2010, written by Revelation 0 Comments

In my personal opinion I don’t think the president does much as people think, I am a firm believer that the president really is just a public servant for a group of individuals in the White House that make all the decisions, it’s hard to think one man makes the call on such huge issues. With that being said though the president does have to address the country with these decisions and they get all the scrutiny that comes with it. Below are a bunch of presidents before and after the serve in office and the effects of stress and aging are very apparent. Now to be fair almost all of these presidents served under very hard times being war and terrorist attacks, or just the facts that they were under fire for their own misjudgments, I’m looking at you Clinton you little pornstar you. Below are 9 examples of presidents rapidly dying before your eyes.

Barack Obama
Photos taken on Inauguration Day, left, and on Aug. 3, 2010, show that after a year and a half in office, the President has the same touch of gray in his hair but shows far more stress on his face.

George W. Bush
Bush 43 ended his Administration with much grayer hair than he began with. With all the war and terror attacks that went on though I’m sure stressing like a son of a bitch was inevitable.

Wyclef For President!

28 Jul 2010, written by ZootPatrol.com 0 Comments

Of Haiti.  There are a few reports out there that Wyclef Jean is seriously considering running for president of the earthquake ravaged nation.  According to E!, Wyclef’s brother Sam Jean told them “there is a very good chance” the former Fugees front man will run for the office.  Wyclef’s  Yéle Haiti foundation has raised millions in disaster relief for his homeland so it seems like something he really cares about.

Wyclef still hasn’t confirmed.  He tweeted “Just to Clear up the rumors I have not announce to the Press that I’m Running for President of Haiti.” A statement from Yele Haitit: “Wyclef’s commitment to his homeland and its youth is boundless, and he will remain its greatest supporter regardless of whether he is part of the government moving forward. At this time, Wyclef Jean has not announced his intent to run for Haitian president. If and when a decision is made, media will be alerted immediately.”  Seems like that country could use a fresh face in politics who has strong moral values.  Vote Clef Haitians!
