U.S.A. Bombs The Moon (As If Earth Wasn’t Good Enough)

So America is pretty bad ass as we all know, you don’t give us extra cheese on our hamburger and we’re going to bomb the shit out of you. So since we are running out of cities to decimate on Earth we decided to get intergalactic and bomb the moon. A NASA spacecraft bombed the South Pole of the Moon today in the hope of discovering water on the lunar surface. NASA’s “L-CROSS” mission involved the successful use of an unmanned rocket and a satellite. That satellite will soon transmit live TV images and scientific data back to Earth. The rocket slammed into a crater of the moon at 7:30 a.m. (EST). Scientists are hoping that this will cause a plume of rocks and dust and possibly ice to come flying off the moon. NASA officials said their instruments were working, but the planned live photos were missing. So as of now there is no pictures showing exactly what happened probably because something very wrong happened or absolutly nothing happened. Either way chill out America, who gives a shit if theres water on the moon.

Gays-1, Christians-0

One thing I never got was people who waste all their time giving other people shit for their beliefs or decisions. Gay rights protesters are some of the most ignorant and obnoxious people that fall into the “Will you please mind your own business and STFU” group. Something that they tend to lean on is the bible, and the fact that it is against Christianity to be gay. They mix their religious beliefs with their legal beliefs, and pretty much end up making no sense at all. The only thing they usually accomplish is making themselves look like uneducated bigots. I came across this photo and thought that it was very cleaver. Finally the gay rights people beat the protestors at their own game by quoting the bible as well. Damn though, we should all be grateful that we don’t follow this rule. Every girl in America would be dead.

Healthcare or Health Scare… A Look at the Hoopla Around Healthcare Reform.
24 Jul 2009, written by ZootPatrol.com 0 CommentsOn Monday the first official proposal of the healthcare reform bill was dropped, 1000 pages and all. Obama has been pushing to get this bill passed by congress before August is out and even held a national press conference Wednesday night because 50% of the american public now opposes the reform, you think he even read it?

Another part of the problem as of late is that Obamas democrats in the house are also starting to think this is too much money too fast. To bring you up to speed that has stopped and now representatives are admitting the bill will not be done until fall. It would only be one of the most historical bills ever to come out of capital hill, remind me again why we are trying to cram it into a few weeks? I’m not a complete Obama hater but it seems one thing after the other is the countries ”biggest threat and number one priority” no matter how many more trillions we are going into debt. Figuring most people are probably starting to tune it out because of the back and forth hoopla going on in the media and political parties I figured I would try to simplify what’s happening with a littla Q&A.
Why do we need healthcare reform?
-Because there are 40 mil uninsured and healthcare costs way too high in this country. This much is definitely true.
Why does healthcare cost so much?
-Technology and Lawsuits, particularly all the asshole slip and fall lawyers out there that advertise all over tv.
Who is writing this reform proposal?
-NOT OBAMA! Many people think he is but that is not the case at all, he is just telling congress that something needs to be done and has nothing to do with the details. Much like pawning your book report off to the smart chick that sits next to you in class.
What is the gov’t trying to create?
According to the congress they are not trying to create “Universal” healthcare. They are trying to be a cheaper competitor to the private companies which would force the market to lower it’s costs. Thats the end goal to lower healthcare costs.
How will it be paid for?
-Taxes of course, in particular a 13% tax on those making 350k or more, tax on private business which provide private healthcare for their employees, 2.5% tax on those the gov’t deems as not having acceptable insurance. There are many other subsidies and taxes proposes. One way or another if your reading this you will pay for a gov’t healthcare option if it passes.
What are some benefits of having a national healthcare option?
-WE COULD ALL DO WHATEVER WE WANT! Let’s face it, a big factor to our adult freedom is health insurance. How many of us don’t take on the risk of a location change, new job, or flat out risky behavior because we are worried about care costs if a medical emergency happens. Now all we would have to worry about is money for food and shelter, hooray!
-We would be able to blame our high taxes on fat people. Unhealthy people using the system is what would drive the costs of gov’t healthcare which in turn results in the amount of taxes we would pay.
What are some cons of a national healthcare option?
-Possible rationing of care, meaning the gov’t will have say on who deserves what. Not that private healthcare isn’t already doing this to some extent.
-Paying for illegal aliens. Yes, included in the bill is care for illegal aliens, our taxes would cover them too. Much like we already cover them for the justice system. Funny, being a citizen isn’t a big advantage anymore except for not being able to get kicked out of the country.
-The gov’t has consistently proven that it has trouble running it’s programs and possibly the worst customer service ever. More gov’t programs equals more gov’t and more of your paycheck.
My personal view and that of many others is that the key to healthcare is not sweeping reform, but rather regulation of the private insurance industry, preventive care and regulation on the enormous amount of monies paid out bogus lawsuits.
Of late polls have shown that healthcare reform is becoming less and less popular among american voters. Most people seem to be thinking that we have gone in debt enough as a nation already and don’t want more money taken out of the pay check. People are entitled to their life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Are they also entitled to houses, cars, insurance, and more unemployment benefits. So far this year Obama has given us 3, is health insurance next? Conservatives are out to stomp this bill so be on the look out for the next drunken debate turned fist fight at a party, be sure to walk away because you don’t need a buzzkill plus you already know what you need to know since you read this.
Elliott Spitzer interview…..celebs should just give honest answers.
08 Apr 2009, written by ZootPatrol.com 0 CommentsSo I’m watching the today show on tuesday, yea I’m a religious watcher, definitely lame but it’s part of my morning routine. Lauer is interviewing Ex New York Governor Elliott Spitzer. This is the BIG exclusive interview omg!! we all pay attention but never get any answers, we just like watching celebs train wrecks, so we tune in. We all know the story of his love of hookers and blow which lead to his quick fall from office. Long story short, the explanation he gives for all this is “it was my inner gremlins”. We’ve heard this garbage explanation from many a celeb before, ahhhh it was my inner demons. ShUT UP with that bullshit!
For once in my life i want to see a public figure just be straight up honest when confronted with “image damaging” allegations. Wouldn’t it of been great if when they asked spitzer why he did it, for him to just to be like ” hey listen Lauer, i did it because i like hookers and blow, have you done blow with hookers?” But we will never get honest answers. Public figures will always beat around the bush and reporters will refuse to push for an answer because if they demand answers to tough questions then other celebs won’t do interviews with them and ratings are shot. Thats the world of phony journalism we live in. Screw political correctness lets get some honest answers already god knows they would be hilarious.
Hate to love politics? heres a rant…Where are American’s headed?
18 Feb 2009, written by ZootPatrol.com 0 CommentsSocialism maybe? or something like that or maybe just a hybrid, who knows at this point.
Now I’m sure you have heard something about this radical socialist opinion before and yes it is ridiculous to some extent. Now just to clear this up, I don’t think we our going to end up like Communist Russia with people standing in lines for their equal ration of food. But lets face it, you can’t listen to everything that’s going on with our country and not wander where is this all going to take us. No matter what, this stimulus package will be a catalyst for something and we are soon to find out what.

Damn this is a lot of debt
What have we’ve seen so far:
A movement toward big government has been taking place right at our feet. With the bailouts, house committees questioning big industries, and the new bailouts goals to create new industries in clean energy, the government has taken a lot of ownership and stake in private industry. We are now seeing nearly whole industries, i.e. the auto industry, with taxpayer ownership. We the taxpayer now have a rather large piece of the banking industry as well. To top it all off theres a large movement for centralized healthcare, great idea until 50% of your paycheck is paying for it whether you use it or not, and the quality of care is 50% less to boot. More government involvement and common ownership in industry is one the most well known ideas of socialism.
“with a fair or egalitarian method of compensation.” this quote was in the opening line of a definition on socialism i read on wikipedia. I couldn’t help but think of those wall street executives who are definitely overpaid idiots and how people are calling for a more level compensation for them. As dumb as their pay may be that is the genius of private industry and capitalism, your opportunities to make money are endless and you can reap all the benefits you want, no matter how greedy and bad for the company it is, especially if your the one in charge! We shouldn’t steer away from the American Dream.
And what about the basic ideals of Capitalism, “with every failure comes new opportunity”. Let these companies fail, because new opportunity will surely be gained from that. If one of the big three auto manufacturers shits the bed, that creates a piece of market share that could possibly be grabbed up by competition or lessen the barriers to entry for a cleaner technology car company to get in the market.
And lastly, lets talk about the government throwing money toward the mortgage crisis, another big bill signed into effect today. Like we all didn’t see a problem coming here, people were making 10′s of thousands by buying a house and holding it for a year and then re-selling it. Notice how all those house flipper shows have slowly faded off TV. Blame what you will on the lenders for predatory lending, but everyone was getting rich off the industry and no one was complaining. For each of these bad banks, theres a 100 others who are legit, but now are paying the price in new FDIC insurance premiums to help fund the bailout. People forget to put the other half of blame on the homebuyers. Bank: Hey I have an adjustable rate loan, which means that your rate will start as this, your monthly payments will be this, but at anytime your rate could change meaning your monthly payment will change. HomeBuyer: That sounds great!…….. These are the problem loans and what all the foreclosures are about, them and interest only loans where people only pay interest on the loan, nothing towards paying back the actual principle amount, yea that sounds like a responsible move! Do Your Homework! Once we get a home we use it like credit cards to accrue huge debt based on their equity. The positive is that in 10 years you may once again be able to buy a house in cash if your save hard enough.
Take all this with a shot of whiskey, cause you can argue everything thats going on a hundred different ways, these are just a few things I wanted to mentioned. The biggest problem with our country of late is that we always want to have our cake and eat it to. We can do that, we just have to pay for it with a ton of taxes. People forget that sometimes priority needs to be put on maintaining survival. Example: Props to NJ governor John Corzine, he is a proposing that state workers work two days less a week to save the state money to help keep us out of enormous debt like Cali is in. People are up in arms. The flipside, NY governor Patterson, is proposing state healthcare cuts to save money. Which way would you decide? One thing’s for sure, it ain’t easy. But maybe just maybe when all is said and done, American’s will learn to live up to their means and put the priority back on the things that really matter.
