I think I have voiced how I feel about Facebook, so this is pretty wild to me, the facebook friend sleeve tattoo, BEHOLD. To tell you the truth I am not even going to try to hate on this, I think it is pretty gnarly and definitely original. The tattoo is composed of 152 friends and was designed by Pretty Social and the tattoo artist is Tattoo Dex.

In commemoration of the BMW 328 75th anniversary (no, not the leased 328 in your neighbor’s garage), Bavarian Motor Works has created what really can only be described as a breathtaking reintepretation, recently revealed at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Como, Italy. Aptly called the BMW 328 Hommage, its resemblance to the original 1930′s 328 is a bit of a stretch, but BMW has managed to create a striking if not downright sinister look using a mix of throwback queues and stylings from modern models including the 6 series, Z4 and Vision ConnectedDrive concept revealed at the Geneva Auto Show.

Look a little closer though and you’ll see those notoriously obsessive German engineers have pored over weight-saving detail with an obsessive use of naked carbon-fiber in the spirit of its lightweight predecessor. The running concept is powered by a down-to-earth 3.0 liter inline-six with an automatic transmission, but these exercises are never about speed. Further markings of its concept status are external leather straps woven into the bodywork, impossibly small windscreens, criss-crossed black taped headlights (which are actually four separate LED lamps), spinner hubcaps, and a racy interior swathed in so much sculpted leather, aluminum, and technology that you’d swear the kill switch is actually intended for your dreams about a leggy blonde delivering you your very own 328 Hommage.

When was the last time you memorized a cell phone number? Put a picture in a photo album? Created a real, physical invitation for a party? Thanks to Facebook, we don’t have to deal with any of those inconvenient, non-technological, memory-related things anymore. In our opinion, that’s change for the better. I don’t know if it is because I am hard to impress with cool stuff, or I just see so many gnarley things searching for stuff for zoot that I have become numb, but this is a product that really got me excited. The company is called WeWood and they make watches that are made completely from natural wood. Feel the difference nature can bring. Completely absent of artificial or toxic material. The best part about these time pieces is that when you buy one, they will plant a tree because of your purchase. They have partnered up with tree planters, American Forest, the nations oldest non profit conservation organization. There are few things in life as serious as a bullet. Most of us don’t have to rely on one of man’s most deadly weapons on a regular basis, so we don’t have use for bullets regularly. Thomas Meyerhoffer’s portfolio is something other product designers would kill to call their own — or certainly smash their 27-Cinema Displays in sacrifice. His first success came in 1994, when he designed the first pair of wrap-around-lens ski goggles, the Smith V3. In 1996, he led Apple’s eMate design team, which preceded the iMac. From 2002-2006, he created rear-entry snowboard bindings for Flow that allowed boarders to click in while standing up, and he developed the Chumby portable computer. Given this pedigree, it’s only natural that in 2008, he decided tackle surfing by starting a surfboard company. The Meyerhoffer 2 series is Meyerhoffer’s latest creation and is described as a “shortboard in a longboard”. Essentially, the design pushes the widest point of the board further to the rear, to provide responsive turning while maintaining an easy paddle and glide on smaller surf. Ranging from 8.1 to 9.6 ft. big guns, these minimally-styled wave riders have clearly made a splash in the surfing community, judging by the fact that the entire 2011 line is already sold-out. The good news is that more on are on the way for you Spicoli’s in the audience. So keep an eye glued to their site if you crave an oversized pantone-colored tongue depressor of your own.

Drive three hours south of Sydney to New South Wales’ Jervis Bay and tucked away on preserved land you’ll find Paperbark Camp.
