I always really liked Beck. I love his sound, his style, and his attitude. Even in a decade that prided itself on not giving a fuck about anything, Beck seems to give even less of a fuck. The adult part of me feels like “give me a damn break you spoiled ass Cali punk” and then the artistic young version of me says ” why dont more people describe music as surfing in some oil spillage?” Either way, this is a pretty cool vintage interview of a young and now great musician.

A pseudo flash mod popped off in Manhattan in the Subway system this weekend, further proving that there really isnt anywhere else in the world better to be living. The crowd got things jumping in Union Square, Grand Central Station, and in front of the NYC Public Library.

James Vincent McMorrow- We Don’t Eat

I recently came across ‘We Don’t Eat, a single by Irish singer and songwriter James Vincent McMorrow, and now I’m pretty much playing it on loop daily. Im not sure what I like the most about the song, his high, halting, smoky voice, or the eerie aura of something very old, something we’ve heard a long time ago, something written by old men.

James Vincent Morrow released his debut album in 2010 and he’s just finished his first North American tour.
