Kids, Dont EVER Do Meth
09 Nov 2011, written by Riz 0 CommentsRequiem for a Dream director Darren Aronofsky was tapped for The Meth Project’s aggressive tv campaign to, as per creative brief, “scare children so straight that they will never even want to take up smoking ciggs.”
This decidedly stylish foursome of anti-drug PSAs all start up with a slow close-up of a young, oozing, crank bug-peppered mug in distress, zooming out and speeding up to reveal some heavy unpleasantness.
I know a lot of anti-drug commercials are pretty funny because they are so out of left field, but honestly, these shook me up a bit, especially the last one. Im well past the point of ever trying Meth but hopefully these PSA’s will shine some light on the drug for the young would be users out there.

30 Years Of Music Industry Change
23 Aug 2011, written by Riz 0 CommentsEpic is all I have to say about this pie chart. Each slide shows the revenue contribution from various formats, 1980-2010, based on RIAA revenue figures. If you want to see it again, just wait a few seconds for the animation to start over. Its awesome to see how the CD revenue just dominates until a certain point and then starts to scale back due to the digital downloads.

19 Aug 2011, written by Riz 0 CommentsWe have all seen the corny commercials on TV promoting state tourism. It never really makes me want to get motivated and visit any place new, but this ad was different. Tourism offices around the world pay attention – this is how you promote a country.

KNUCKLE **IN CINEMAS & ON-DEMAND AUG 5TH** from Revolver Entertainment on Vimeo.
For twelve years, director Ian Palmer has documented the brutal, bare-knuckle duels between these feuding Irish Traveler families, but they’ve been at it for generations.
Knuckle focuses on the secretive, seldom-seen community’s two brothers who have to fight for “their reputations and the honour of their family name” and it looks like it’s going to get bloody, dramatic and philosophical.
The doc hits UK theaters August 5th, has been picked up for North American distribution and is being considered for a fictionalized feature that is likely to swap out the authentic, gritty fight footage of the film with something sleek and thereby less exciting.
