1. Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you’re a mile away and you have their shoes.
2. Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
3. If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
4. If at first you don’t succeed, skydiving is not for you.
So we have a good friend as well as an avid reader of zoot known as “the kid himself”. He is a stock broker on Wall Street so we get to hear the ups and downs he endures every day. The fact of the matter is you are going to lose money if you invest in stocks. Sooner or later, it’s bound to happen. In fact, it may have happened already and you don’t recognize it because losses can take several different forms. AKA you might not lose your money, but you will lose your hair, about 20 years of your life stressing, and probably your house and kids. So in other words let me take this moment to say invest your money with The Kid Himself, your money is safe with him Here is a collection of people who just got royally fucked in the stock market and have come to the realization that they just flushed their life down the tubes.
I’m not even going to go into writing something on this kid, just watch, it will be the best thing you see all day. All I will say is it will be really creepy if there is a mega earthquake on the west coast in September.

Philip Zimbardo, a longtime Stanford University professor, conveys how our individual perspectives of time affect our work, health and well-being. Time influences who we are as a person, how we view relationships and how we act in the world. Zimbardo says people fall into six different “time zones”: Past-Positive ,PastNegative ,PresentFatalism ,PresentHedonism ,Future , and “Transcendtal” Future. I thought this video was great because it is so visual. Its more like a movie and less like a lecture.

Darius Miles had so much potential that many teams were dying to get their hands on him. The thought was “What’s he going to be like in his prime?” Too bad he peaked in his early twenties. The Portland Trail Blazers scooped him up after the 2004 season with a six-year, $48 million deal at the tender age of 22. You know what he did for them? He gave them two half seasons filled with controversy – which included cursing out his coach, challenging him to a fight and violating the league’s substance abuse policy – before suffering a career ending knee injury. The Blazers record during his stint? 47 – 113. Yikes.
So I have no clue if this is going to be a real movie or it is just a really awesome fan made teaser but it would be freakin sweet if it happens. The other day a 7 minute teaser was released giving a glimpse of a new Mortal Kombat movie. In the teaser Reptile, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Johnny Cage, Sonya, Baraka, and Shang Tsung are included. Some people have said it is a teaser for a new video game, others say it’s for a new movie, but I checked on imdb.com and there is no word whatsoever about it, so im leaning towards it is a teaser for a new video game. Either way it is pretty bad ass.
UPDATE: the short was made by director Keven Tancharoen to get studios interested in the idea — well, his idea — of a new Mortal Kombat movie. So pretty much it’s a big sales pitch. Your move Hollywood.
