I love when things are graphically broken down to illustrate certain ideas. These 20 posters show what it was if the world were a village of 100 people. Its really bizarre how many people don’t have certain things like a computer or electricity.
This was all news to me until about 2 days ago. I hadnt heard a single thing about this even being made, and that suprises me since I feel like I keep a pretty tight grip on the movie industries pulse. I guess not. This is the new trailer for Robert Rodriguez’s Predators. I have to say, there is no way this will EVER compete with Predator 1 and Arnold and Appolo Creed looking all jacked, fighting Predators, and generally being badasses. Check it out for yourself.
When Philip Levine first started losing his hair in his early twenties he didn’t quite know how to deal with the situation. He knew he didn’t want to wear a wig, but neither did he want to look like so many other men who simply shave their head. “I was receding and going bald,” he said. “I wanted to shave my head but not conform to societies look of a typical bald man who all look the same in T-shirts, jeans and trainers.” And then he came up with an idea which would ensure he didn’t conform the normal bald man stereotype… “I thought why not use it as a canvas, paint and attach things to my head using the border of where my hair would be,” said the 28-year-old Londoner. He contacted a friend and professional body painter Kat Sinclair to help him turn his idea into a reality. After shaving his head to give a smooth canvas he let her loose with a paint brush.
Remember when you were a kid and you could imagine your own little world? Where you made forts out of blankets and pretended to be in the middle of no where. Or you made kids on the playground pay you fake money, which were usually leaves, to go on the slide? Well that fantasy world we all once lived in has been recreated in these awesome photographs. I love how the artist took the imagination of a child, and shot some awesome photos, using just things around the house.
Here is a compilation of strange, disturbing and really really painful things found in x-rays. While some are tragic mistakes like a nail gun to the dome, others are just caused by stupidity and being a complete freak, aka shoving a 2 liter coke bottle up your rear end. I just had a conversation with my buddy last weekend who is a doctor and he told me how he gets at least 2 patients a week with something stuck up their butt. Of course when they come in they complain about stomach pains, and then they take an x-ray and BAM, they find that a Tonka truck in their butt is the problem.
This video might be old to some by now but it’s a slow day and I’m in Vegas about to spend my last 300 dollars on a lap dance and a pina colada so I don’t really have the energy to find anything cooler to be honest. Marek Born spent three years preparing for this clip — some of the painful training footage is included in this compilation alongside equally painful music. He really gets it in though at 1:00 into it.
Once our eyes are set on it, these ads automatically create explicit images in our mind. Why? Because we are humans, and that is our nature. The Durex logo is placed perfectly at the “sweet” spot. The words that make up the visuals are sufficient to convey the message. Do they mention anything about Durex’s condom quality? No, because there isn’t a need to. The images were designed by Andrej Krahne. Bravo, Sir!
Natalie Sklobovskaya is an aspiring illustrator, web designer and developer, currently still a student in her third year at Washington University in St. Louis. I stumbled upon one of her projects and loved it. This is a graphic design project done for a illustration class. The task was to design a series of cohesive pictograms for one type of animal and then create matching pictograms for two other kinds. It really reminds me of the Polynesian tattoo culture, which we here at Zoot are huge fans of. Check out the project!
Since most of you are reading this from a cubicle I’m sure your life isn’t too extreme. To give you your daily dose of gnarly activity here is some amazing photography from inside caves. For me personally looking at these photos are a good enough thrill, I don’t need to be trapped under 4 miles of Flintstone rock worrying about the only 2 foot hole to exit collapsing on me.
Fresh from the best SNL monologue in millennial history, Zach Galifianakis is back with another episode of his Emmy-winning talk show. I’m almost ready to forgive Ben Stiller for Greenberg now.
