Even dogs know that the best way to commute back and forth to work is on public transportation. Seriously. Stray dogs in Moscow are reportedly hopping on the train every morning for a free ride to the bustling industrial city centers right along with humans that are just starting their day of work. At the end of the workday, these same dogs are getting back on the train to go back to their more comfy suburban surroundings.
It gets even better. Apparently, these K9s know that the first and last subway cars are the quietest, so they hop on and take a nap, and the dogs work together to time the ride home so they know when to get off.
Another skill they have is to go on the green traffic light. “They don’t react on color, but on the picture they see on the traffic light”, A Moscow scientist tells. It’s funny but the ecologists studying Moscow stray dogs also tell the dogs don’t miss a chance to get some play while on their travel in the subway. They are fond of jumping in the train just seconds before the doors shut closed risking their tails be jammed. “They do it for fun …”
So if you never heard of Chatroulette, it is a new up and coming website that automatically connects you via webcam with a complete stranger. You have the option to turn your camera and sound off, but then whats the point. As you get connected with a complete stranger you have the option of immediately hitting the “next” button to go on to the next stranger, or you can simply start talking or whatever you want to do with your new web cam connection, sounds awkward and creepy right, well it is, and I loved it. Now before you think I’m some kind of weirdo let me give you some advice and tips so make this website a good time.
Above is a pretty accurate graph depicting my experience while I was cruising on Chatroulette this past weekend. The average age of users is mid twenties, with only a few “kids”, which I got to witness a 10 year old black kid break dance and do this awesome military salute dance that I will defiantly be using in the clubs next weekend. Opening this weekend in NYC, filmmaker-turned-street artist, Mr. Brainwash’s newest exhibition “Icons” features his paint-splattered portraits of famous fashion designers, musicians and other figures (including Campbell’s soup-labeled spraycans and a Superman-Obama) in a 15,000-square-foot warehouse.
The controversial eccentric is known as much for his over-the-top antics as he is for his artwork, splashing onto the scene in L.A. by relentlessly documenting fellow street artists Shepard Fairey and Banksy. The latter recently featured Brainwash in his own film “Exit Through the Gift Shop” and says “Mr. Brainwash is a force of nature, he’s a phenomenon. And I don’t mean that in a good way.”
1,200 students, staff and faculty at the University of Alberta unofficially smash the Guinness World Record for most players in a single dodgeball game at the Universiade Pavilion better known as “The Butterdome” in Edmonton, Alta. on February 5, 2010. The former record was 450. The event was organized by the U of A students’ union. Video by Ryan Jackson / Edmonton Journal
So defacing government property via money has been a popular subject on zoot. I guess the reason I find it to so interesting is the dollar bill is such a concrete image, so official and old. Adding some ridiculous graffiti or art really spices up the boring piece of paper we call money. Enjoy the latest installment of dollar bill art.
So this past weekend I was watching Sports Nation on ESPN and they had an awesome tournament of the best in-game posterized dunks. Of course Vince Carters dunk in the Olympics was held out of the competition because it wouldn’t be fair. The hosts rocked Vince Carter Olympic number 9 jerseys and played his dunk about 700 times through the show which you can see here if you never saw it. Anyway throughout the show they did other little stories and one was back board breaking. They showed Shaq’s rim breakers, then the king Darryl Dawkins dunks. Then they showed something I never seen before and I don’t know how the hell I’ve never heard or seen anything about it, being a huge NBA fan. It was from a Nike exhibition game in Italy in 1986. Jordan completely explodes and demolishes the rim while posterizing some poor Italian in the process, raining glass over the opposing team. I guess the reason noone ever saw it was because the game was never televised and this is footage captured by a bystander. Either way enjoy Jordan bringing the thunder, accompanied with an awesome 1980′s trumpet tooting tune.
A lot of people don’t find Russell Brand funny, I’m not one of them. I’ve been a fan ever since his role in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I’m still on the fence about Jonah Hill, but this film seems to bring out the best in both actors. Aaron Greenberg (Hill) gets things done. The ambitious 23-year-old has exaggerated his way into a dream job just in time for a career-making assignment. His mission: Fly to London and escort a rock god to L.A.s Greek Theatre for the first-stop on a $100-million tour. His warning: Turn your back on him at your own peril. British rocker Aldous Snow (Brand) is both a brilliant musician and walking sex. Weary of yes men and piles of money, the former front man is searching for the meaning of life. But that doesn’t mean he cant have a few orgies while he finds it. When he learns his true love is in California, Aldous makes it his quest to win her backright before kick-starting his world domination.
As the countdown to the concert begins, one intern must navigate a minefield of London drug smuggles, New York City brawls and Vegas lap dances to deliver his charge safe and, sort of, sound. He may have to coax, lie to, enable and party with Aldous, but Aaron will get him to the Greek.
I don’t usually get caught up in celebrity business because it doesn’t really interest me. Their star studded lives and bigger than life egos don’t need any more attention, but I found some interesting pictures of some stars before they were famous. What I found captivating about these images is how it portrays these celebrities not as mega stars, but before they were famous, when they were just normal people living their lives just as we do, partying, hanging with the family, and grinding out day to day. My favorite might have to be Walken seen below, hilarious.

How many times do you hear that awesome Guns N Roses song in the shower and just want to belt out the lyrics to Sweet Child O Mine? Now you can!
If your dog is anything like mine (Im sure its not because shes awesome as fuck, eats really expensive food all the time, and wins dog shows) then they really like checking out whats going on outside. Make it a little easier on them for god sakes. They have no thumbs!
