Talk about a green building. The Meera house, design by Guz Architects, portrays an image of rolling greens and blue waters inside and out. Not only is this house remarkable aesthetically to the eye, but it is also environmentally pleasing to the Earth, due to the green architecture incorporated. Of course the design is great and all that but how many people have had the fantasy of being at a party and there is human mermaids swimming behind a glass wall, well this house has that.

Thank god the wait for the I Need A Doctor wasn’t as long as the wait for Detox itself, but this video is truly amazing, and hopefully this is a sign of what else is to come from Dre and Detox. The video starts off with Dre staring out into the ocean with flashbacks from his days with N.W.A. and Deathrow, and it is an amazing look into the career and longevity he has had in the rap game. He peals off in his whip and then disaster strikes, and the song picks up from there. All we can say is Hellllllllllll Yeaaa, welcome back Dre, lets’s gooooooooo.
So what if giant social media outlets were in high school? Even though these sites aren’t actual people, it is pretty easy to pin a stereotypical face and attitude to each website. From the jocks, to the geeks, here is the 2011 social media high school yearbook. (As always click on images to enlarge.)

Although marching band’s get made fun of a lot by the media, they are pretty awesome if you think about it. They are a fraternity of hundreds of kids deep, they get front row for every major sports game, as well as being able to travel with the team, and they get to jam out all day in which some of the kids actually get scholarships for. Doesn’t sound so bad to me, and supposedly band chicks are freaks in the bed, that is just what I’ve heard though. This video below shows George Mason’s Green Machine marching band and how awesome school bands can be if the right song is chosen, and you can see how excited they are, especially the creature in the front with the red shirt, geez chill out sparky.
Conspiracy theorists have been saying this for years, and all you hear is that the rich get richer. Well this new infograph from MotherJones. A huge share of the nation’s economic growth over the past 30 years has gone to the top one-hundredth of one percent, who now make an average of $27 million per household. The average income for the bottom 90 percent of us? $31,244. There are a ton of other great infographs on the site, so I suggest you check it out. The fact that some people make this much money isnt really the upsetting part. The upsetting part is how much influence they have on decisions that generally effect the more common man. Laws are being passed to keep theres top people in places of power, and in positions to continue to amass wealth that is beyond anything any average man would ever dream. Fight the POWERRR!
Here is a little nice dose of some hip hop to pop up in the past 2 weeks. Before the hard core music heads jump down my throat about a few of these being old I understand that, but with the amount of garbage coming out every day it is hard to put together a round up with quality stuff, so I had to open the window of time. I’ll start you off with a new song from Lupe Fiasco called “All Black Everything” which is on his upcoming album Lasers and it is rumored to be his favorite song on the album. It is one of those songs that is really clever talking about if black people never left Africa and how it would have changed the whole make up of our country and the people in it. There is also a throw back track from Nas and Swizz Beatz, a new Apathy freestyle, a song from Travis Barker and Lupe, Slaughterhouse, Raekwon, and a track from The Roots featuring Isaac Hayes. I also threw in a dope fan made music video for Kanye Wet’s song Blame Game which was really well done and worth the view.
Lupe Fiasco – All Black Everything
(Eminem fitted in but then again he inspired a black rapper tryin to mimic him
And that’s what really rose up out of Michigan, the sign of white rapper by the name of 50 Cent, ha!)
Apathy – Most Murderous Music Freestyle
Apathy, hands down. King of Connecticut!
You can take this detailed chart however you want. For some people you will use this as a way of life, and totally transform yourself into the ultimate hipster. Main point, BROOKLYN BROOKLYN BROOKLYN. But for me I am going to use this important guide as a “How To Spot An Asshole”. With all this knowledge I will now know who to immediately make fun of and throw rocks at when they ride past me on their fixed gear bike blasting The Smiths CD on a 1984 boom box.
To the general public Lady Gaga has become this pop icon in the eyes of the world. She is constantly pushing the envelope with ridiculous outfits and videos, like the Kermit the frog dress, the meat dress, etc. I for one don’t see that as being an icon of any sort, I think it is just purposely being a weirdo to get attention for yourself. Now I don’t hate on the girl at all, her music is pretty solid, it makes me grind on girls butts at the club, but when she was a plain jane normal girl her whole life and then not even 5 years ago decided to go all crazy and think she is a fashion diva, hold the phone on that one. She has been cutting and copying other people’s styles and fashion her whole career and we are about to drop the hammer on the all mighty Gaga. Here is the ultimate collection all the rip offs of Lady Gaga’s thought to be original fashion.
Continue below for the onslaught of copying, from more Madonna, Christina Aguilera, Shakira, Gwen Stefani, Paris Hilton, and many more.
By far this is the best video we have seen all week, well actually 3 in total, but the video below takes place on the island of Kauai in Hawaii. The river used to by the locals is the Waimea River, which is about 12 miles long, making it one of the largest rivers in the whole state of Hawaii. The locals will dig out the sand where the river meets the shorepound, and BAM, instant wave shredding. It is pretty amazing how quickly and powerful the water gets, carving out it’s own natural pipe line. Of course anything as awesome and cool as this comes controversy. A lot of locals and environmentalist in the area believe it is causing great damage to the beaches, the process is called human contributed erosion. But others believe this is a natural process that happens all the time when the hide tide hits and waters are too high, so they are pretty much just speeding up the process just a bit. Either way I want to grab a boogie board and be there now, enjoy the videos and photography.
