This week’s crib of the week is something I, or probably anyone, have never seen before. Over a quarter of a century ago, an architect stumbled upon the half-ruined remains of an old cement factory. The grounds contained dozens of silos, vast subterranean spaces and long-silent manufacturing equipment. While most people would see piles of wreckage and a wasteland, there was one man who saw his new residence.

Youtuber Damewse continues his one-man media makeover for the space agency with another beautifully edited video. The first one if you remember was called The Frontier Is Everywhere, seen here, and this is one is just as good if not better. The best part about the video is at the very end when it shows a graph depicting the world’s military spending vs space exploration spending, as you could guess the military spending is about 500 times as much. This video has some amazing footage, and even better commentary to make your brain think a little bit today.
Have you ever wanted freedom so bad, that you strapped bread to your head? Sometimes humor exists in the most tragical conditions and while there is nothing funny about what is going on over at Egypt, there is some humor in the helmets that these guys are putting together. Of course the reason is because there are thousands of people throwing rocks and heavy objects in protest of the government. The logical thing to do is to cover your head with something, but unfortunately all these people don’t have New York Jets helmets in their closet to use, so what is the next best thing? Whatever is laying around, that’s what, like a stove pot, or water bottles, or even loafs of bread for crying out loud. Here is a collection of the funniest of helmets seen so far.
More Egyptians helmets that even Macgyver would be proud.
Please excuse my excessive posting on facebook bashing but I finally took my own advice and deleted my account a couple weeks ago. At first I was kinda having withdrawals, I am not going to lie, but after I have read the Bible, every volume of the Britannica Dictionary collection, and every Time Magazine ever printed, I have noticed my time is being used a little better now.
Scumbag Steve has been the popular new meme as of late. It all stemmed from the picture above of the typical douche bag kid that would roll up to one of your parties, and then internet jumped on it quickly. Supposedly the kid’s real name is Blake Boston, of course it would be haha.
Much more of the legend Scumbag Steve below.
After each Super Bowl the winning MVP or star usually states he’s going to Disney World. This year Aaron Rodgers made it known what his post super bowl plans were. Ever wonder how this got started? Via Wikipedia:
In his 1998 memoir Work in Progress, Disney CEO Michael Eisner credited his wife, Jane, with the idea for the campaign. According to Eisner, during the January 1987 grand opening for the Star Tours attraction at Disneyland, the couple dined with Dick Rutan and Jeana Yeager, who in December 1986 had piloted the first aircraft to fly around the world without stopping or refueling. After Jane Eisner asked what the pilots planned to do next, they replied, “Well, we’re going to Disneyland.” She later told her husband the phrase would make a great advertising campaign.
Weeks later, Disney launched the series following Super Bowl XXI on January 25, 1987 with a commercial featuring New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms. Simms was paid a reported $75,000 for his participation. The company later aired three more ads that year with other athletes following major sports championships. In subsequent years, Disney reportedly has offered $30,000 to athletes and other stars for participating in the ads and appearing at one of its theme parks
Here’s a pretty awesome video that I think everyone can relate to and when I say everyone, I mean everyone who’s ever hidden their true emotions behind the safe confines of a keyboard and the backspace bar. Hopefully in the future, which I predict will be based on efficiency and convience, playing it cool will be a thing of the distant past, along with interpersonal human interaction. The music is Las Dos Hermanitas by Francisco Tárrega
I think by now we have all been to a few interviews in your lives before, and we can all agree it is usually nothing more then a complete waste of time. I mean if I go to an interview and get the typical what is your greatest weakness, or where do you see yourself in 5 years, then I really don’t want to work for that person anyway. Clearly they don’t want to get to know me because everyone has prescripted answers for all those terrible questions. So here is the truth in the 6 crappiest interview questions brought to you by the always hilarious oatmeal.

We have expressed how we feel about DMX on zoot before, he is the shit, crazy, but awesome. It has saddened us to realize how much he fell off in the past couple years, in and out of jail and just doesn’t seem to be able to catch a break. Well Swizz Beatz dropped this song today off his Monster Monday’s movement and DMX does work, great track.
You don’t have to be a Yankee fan, or a baseball fan at all to appreciate how awesome Mickey Mantle was. Here is a letter that was sent to Mickey asking him to tell a story about the most outstanding event he had at Yankee Stadium to celebrate the rebuilding of a new home for the Yanks. His hilarious response can be seen below, Mantle ruled.
