Now I know the first part of this crazy bungee jumping video came out a while ago, but recently part 2 came out and I just had to post them together because it really is insane. Not only is it a homemade bungee jump, that should be enough not to do it, you have to fly perfectly in between two buildings while rabid dogs are barking at you below, seems real safe. I guess though when you grow up in Russia there really isn’t much to be afraid of. Check out parts 1 and 2 below.
Part 2 below
Rivalries have existed since the dawn of time. Cain and Abel. Achilles and Hector. Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker. The list goes on and on. With so much fighting going on it makes you think, “Can’t we all just get along?” But where’s the fun in that? The reality is that we enjoy watching a good fight. Whether we are on the playground watching the new kid get stomped by the school bully or ringside at a boxing match, we love watching two opposing forces duke it out. Nowhere is this more evident than in cartoons. Through the magic of animation, we can have a front row seat to watch the battle between the forces of good and evil, right and wrong and the quest for power and the preservation of justice play out minus all the tears and bloodshed, here are the 8 best in no particular order.
Tom and Jerry
Arguably the most famous cartoon rivalry of all time, Tom and Jerry follows the antics of Tom, a mischievous house cat, and Jerry, the witty mouse who constantly antagonizes him by beating him at his own game. The two rivals play a dangerous game of, dare I say, cat and mouse, which often leaves poor Tom bruised, battered and none the wiser. He continues trying to catch Jerry despite brutal opposition in the form of axes, pistols, explosives and the occasional reprimand from the rodent-loving housekeeper. Despite all Tom’s efforts, Jerry outsmarts and outruns him every time. But it didn’t seem like Tom had a lot going on in the smarts department in the first place. After all, in one cartoon he actually accepts a lighted stick of dynamite as a present from Jerry. Good thing cats have nine lives. This iconic cat and mouse duo were introduced in February 1940 in a short called Puss Gets the Boot written and directed by legendary animation team William Hanna and Joseph Barbara and distributed by MGM studios. In the short, Jerry breaks every fragile object in the house in an effort to get Tom kicked out of the house. Who knew a little mouse could case so much trouble? Apparently, no one did. But the shorts were so popular they won seven academy awards and spawned a successful series that ran until the late 1970’s. Not bad for a housecat and a tiny mouse.
This video might be a little old by now but it is still awesome, hence the title of showing how people are awesome. Pretty much all it is is the bizarre and amazing stuff we humans do in life with some mind blowing examples. So while you sit on the couch doing nothing, enjoy watching this video of people getting wild and being awesome.
From birds dropping out of the sky to marine life floating to the surface, mysterious animal deaths are becoming a global phenomenon, and it is starting to get really weird. Below, the incidents are mapped. Click to view a larger version, maybe John Cusack was on to something. There are also a bunch that were missed by this infographic including:
-Scores of dead fish near the border between Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
-Hundreds of dead fish in Wales.
-Thousands of dead fish in Spruce Creek.
-Several hundred dead birds in Western Kentucky.
-Thousands of dead doves in Italy.
Sometimes you just need to sharpen it up, and keep that pimp hand strong, and that is exactly what this little girl did. All she wanted was to say a few worlds on the camera but her sister just had to keep turning the camera away from her, well that is something you just don’t do to this little pimp, as she layeth the smacketh downeth. The best part is how she doesn’t break stride from her song and dance and the sister is left crying with the look of fear in her eyes, this pimp holds it down.
The world’s population will hit the 7 billion mark this year. National Geographic gives some context to what that really means, and it’s pretty mind blowing. One way to look at it, is don’t ever be down about being single, there are only about 4 billion chicks out there, so act fast.
If I ever hit the lottery Necker Island is where I’d take my 28 closest friends in a heart beat. Created by Sir Richard Branson, Necker Island is one of the jewels of the British Virgin Islands. For a modest sum of $53,000 USD a night,(which isn’t that bad considering you would split that 28 ways) this private oasis can be yours for you and your guests (and a staff of 60 of course). Check out the pictures and information below on this little piece of Heaven as we cover everything you ever wanted and needed to know about the coolest island on Earth, sigh…
A ton of more information and photography of this beautiful oasis below.
If you wanted to go out in public and have none of your friends notice your real identity do you think you could pull it off with out just wearing a bag over your head? Well this artist tried to pull off something like that and posed as a completely different person in each photograph. She decided to look different in each photograph, and she pulled it off great. Sorry I don’t have more information on the project or the female herself, but I do know when she is dressed normal she is hot, something you might not think based on some of these photographs.
See the rest of her identity transformations below
