The cover art for Lil Waynes upcoming album, The Carter IV just hit the internet. Im lovinggggg how he is keeping with the theme from The Carter III. That baby with the face tats pretty much inspired me to buy the album, and then influenced me to spend the next year stuck in Waynes world with the record on repeat. We will have to wait to see if the actual album is as good as the cover art, but if we know Weezy, and we do personally, we can all be assured that its going to be fire. I know what you are saying, who the hell is Childish Gambino? Well to start his real name is Donald Glover and he is an actor on the hit comedy series Community, and he is also a writer for the show 30 Rock, where he writes most of the material for Tracy Morgan’s character. He is also a comedian and a ton of other things but lets get back to the rapping thing. Childish Gambino is his rap alter ego and he has the rhyme talent that is refreshing to say the least. He is not your generic rapper, he has a hipster side to him mixed in with the swagger of the streets mixed with being a nerd who raps about girls, whiskey, and clothes. His music is the start of another movement, where he is making all the beats and doing the producing and mixing himself. Today he released his latest EP called just that, which included 5 brand new tracks available for FREE. Yes all his music is available for free which is even cooler. I promise if you download this CD and listen to the 5 songs you will understand why I believe he is going to be the next big thing in rap music. (Download the CD here)

Artist Spotlight: Bronze Radio Return

Besides putting me $500,000 in debt, the college I attended in Connecticut also gave me great friends and people I still talk to today. At my time in college I got to meet a few people that are in a band called Bronze Radio Return. I’m going to be completely honest in college I didn’t listen to them at all, I was too busy getting my Lil Wayne on at parties and fist pumping through the quads. I recently noticed more and more things pop up from the band recently and found out they were due to release their second album in March. I contacted my one buddy, who is the drummer, and he sent me the full length CD without hesitation. I messaged him back a half an hour later with nothing but compliments, the CD really was amazing. Kanye West And Jay-Z – H.A.M.

Here is the first single “H.A.M.” off the anticipated collaboration CD from Kanye and Jay-Z called “Watch the Throne”. Hopefully this superstar collabo goes better for Jay-Z than that terrible Best of Both Worlds CD with R. Kelly.
