Gnarcade is a short film meets rap music video, which mixes up 8-bit video game characters and dynamics with competitive skateboarder and snowboarder videos. The video really starts going at 45 seconds in so don’t bail on it before then, it is an awesome skate and snowboard shred video with unreal visual effects. Shaun White never seems to stop coming out with awesome shit whether it’s his skateboarding, snowboarding, or one of his other extreme skills on display. Here is a video trailer for “The Transformation” which is said to chronicle his transition from snowboarding to skateboarding. Accompanied with an awesome song this video will probably be the coolest thing you see all day.

Designed by Mike Simonian and Pieter Schouten, Flowboards have 7 wheels each on the front and rear, making it look like a mutated skateboard. Riding one is like snowboarding or surfing on land. You have to love anything that opens up the possibilities to riding no matter what kind of area or weather you are in. With the Flowboard you can snowboard or surf, or just flat out skate, all year round. Cool stop motion video of a man walking from New York to San Francisco here, thoughtfully created by using math and some basic tools. You can see how they did it all here. You can also see the entire mapped out trip here which is pretty intense.

Who would have known that one can use newspapers to create art? The inventive artist Nick Georgiou from Queens, NY, is folding different newspapers to create sculptures and other installations. The sculptures are usually placed in public so you may have seen them around in New York City, but some of his pieces are also for indoor exhibition like the ones he has framed in to look like paintings.

The artist himself loves to transform printed words into something else because he thinks it’s a way of giving new life to newspapers, as well as books.

If you missed the first part we posted back in April, you can check it out here. Part 2 is just as good as the first if not better. For those who haven’t seen the first, this is pretty much an exact interpretation of how girls act when they get together. The accuracy of this is mind blowing, and it had me laughing throughout the whole video, definitely a must see. Girls don’t you see how ridiculous you are? (jk we love you all, but seriously your ridiculous.)

Animation named “35mm” by artist Pascal Monaco represents a set of 35 movies in an unusual but fun way. The German artist has managed to make the video last only 2 minutes with minimum representation. Check out the animation and see if you can recognize some of the movies.
