A graphical analysis of the position taken by those who forgot about Dre (including countervailing evidence provided by Dr. Dre).
We’re not quite sure what inspired the folks at VOXY to compare Bob Dylan with Kanye West — although you could certainly make the argument that each is the voice of his generation. Examining the language in West’s My BeautifuL Dark Twisted Fantasy and Dylan’s 1965 masterpiece Highway 61 Revisited turns up a few interesting overlaps: both stars have a thing for Jesus and Napoleon (which kind of makes sense in an “icons obsessed with icons” way). But while West is all about brands, “power,” and “douchebags,” Dylan prefers figures from his own (Queen Jane, Mister Jones) and American (“highway,” “bandits”) mythology

Let’s not kid ourselves here, sex is fun, and with fun usually comes some kind of danger, and in this case it is actually very high. Out of all the sex that occurs in the world 33% of that hanky panky results in injury. We have all had our share fair of injuries and they are something to laugh about afterwards, pretty much if you aren’t getting injured somewhat you aren’t living. One time at a highschool house party I was making out with a girl in the bathroom. She was sitting on the counter and I was standing up. All of a sudden I smelt something burning badly and quickly realized her whole back was on fire from a candle by the sink, she was wearing some ugly sweater so it quickly ignited to say the least. It was funny, but not until after the fact that I had to throw her on the floor and smuther her, smacking the shit out of her back. This is one of those instance I’m glad no injuries were reported, I could have done 25 to life for that one.

Christian Bale’s latest performance in “The Fighter” is nothing short of amazing. I seriously recommend seeing the movie, the acting is really remarkable as Bale plays a meth addict who is Walberg’s character’s brother and trainer. But this isn’t Bale’s first time of dropping weight and totally transforming his image. Film reader Matt Ellerbrock has created an info-graphic showing how Bale has transformed himself for different roles over the years.
“With the recent release of David O. Russell’s “The Fighter,” starring Mark Walberg and Christian Bale, I’ve often found myself explaining to friends and family the incredible body transformations Christian Bale has gone through since filming “The Machinist” (2004). I typically resort to googling images of the actor to compare, and have done this enough to discover that there are some composite images from a few of Bale’s roles, but nothing comes close to showing us a more complete picture of just what he’s gone through over the last 8 years of his career. This image is my attempt to remedy that.”

Oh, how things have changed. This quick decade-at-a-glance from i09 sums up the last ten years with numbers. So what’s changed? Technology has gotten unimaginably smaller and better — just look at the differences between an iMac in 2000 and an iPad in 2010. The world’s population has grown, and for the first time more people live in cities than in rural areas. China’s electricity consumption has quadrupled. And the costs of technology are becoming more apparent than before. But really, the data speaks for itself. Well happy new year, lets keep running this poor planet into the friggen ground WOO HOOOOOOOOOO.
