Lil Wayne Tha Carter IV Cover Art
20 Apr 2011, written by Riz 0 CommentsThe cover art for Lil Waynes upcoming album, The Carter IV just hit the internet. Im lovinggggg how he is keeping with the theme from The Carter III. That baby with the face tats pretty much inspired me to buy the album, and then influenced me to spend the next year stuck in Waynes world with the record on repeat. We will have to wait to see if the actual album is as good as the cover art, but if we know Weezy, and we do personally, we can all be assured that its going to be fire. What do you think of the cover art?
Katsu Fake Phone Booth Ads
25 Mar 2011, written by Riz 0 CommentsKATSU is creating havoc around New York City. The graffiti artist is back at it with his personal spin on Nike and MoMA ads, featuring the likes of Steve Jobs, Bill Murry, Jay-Z, a young Morrissey, and Kurt Cobain. The other day I was walking down East Houston and saw Lil Wayne with the MoMa tag line above it. I obviously stopped dead in my tracks, pulled out my phone, and checked to see if there was a Lil Weezy exhibit at the MoMa. At least he fooled me. Catch them if you can, they really are awesome.
2011 Bonnaroo Lineup
16 Feb 2011, written by Revelation 0 CommentsBonnaroo has now reached it’s 10th anniversy, and with a milestone like that, fans have been waiting patiently while other big festivals have already announced their lineups. Well it was Bonnaroo’s turn and they did not let their fans down with this one. Buffalo Springfield will headline the event after a 43 year hiatus. The group includes Neil Young, Stephen Stills, Richie Furay and Jim Messina. Buffalo Springfield is best known for the song “For What It’s Worth”. They will be joined with Eminem, Mumford and Sons, Lil Wayne, and the Strokes just to name a few. I have said I am going to Bonnaroo the past 5 years with no success at all, so maybe this will be the one.
New Rap Music Round Up 1/3/2011
03 Jan 2011, written by Revelation 0 CommentsAlright so today I got a boat load of some awesome new rap music, which is something I can’t say much these days, but there is some quality tunes here. I will start you off with two new Eminem tracks that came out this past weekend. We assume they were slated to be on his last CD but due to him having over 100 songs he had to make some cuts, but these are some awesome tracks that deserved to make the album. Then there is a real club banging song from Akon and Ludacris that uses the techno song Sandstorm as a sample for the beat, so yea its pretty good. Next Chris Brown makes his return again with a unbelievable performance from Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne to really make the song. Wiz Khalifa is really killing it right now and he isn’t disappointing with his new song released today called Teach You To Fly. And lastly another track from Weezy F Baby don’t call him the baby, baby, called One Night Only. Enjoy the tunes.

10 Of The Worst Lyrics From The 10 Richest Rappers
18 Aug 2010, written by Revelation 3 CommentsLike many I am a rap fan, or hip-hop, whatever you want to call it. I think everyone knows by now that rap has become accepted in the music industry and is bigger then rock and roll in some peoples eyes. The thing I have against rap these days is there is a bunch of no talent idiots who tend to just rap about cars, women, and money, hell I could make a list of ridiculous Lil Wayne lyrics that will have you laughing your ass off (I’ll make a post on that topic soon). But below are some very highly respected, and rich rappers in the game today, that still say some awkward and terrible lines from time to time, here are 10 that come to mind.
Jay-Z – $63 Million

Diddy – $30 Million

Athletes Getting Dissed by Hip Hop
24 Feb 2010, written by Riz 0 CommentsEvery now and again its nice and also funny to see a star athlete get knocked off of their pedestal. These guys walk around with millions of dollars, acting like the rules dont apply to them and figuring that there will be no backlash. To bad that rappers dont really care who you are, or how much money you have, as long as your name and actions make a good rhyme. Here are some examples of athletes catching the short end of the hip hop stick.
You Like That BRON BRON?

Taking sloppy seconds is one thing, but getting it announced on wax (and on the accompanying music video) is another—especially if you’re a star athlete like Lebron James. On “Popular Demand (Popeyes),” The Clipse andPusha T discusses a Madonna-looking groupie who’s allegedly fucking LeBron…after Pusha already smashed “a long time ago” on a balcony in Miami’s Delano Hotel. Like that Bron-Bron?
HOVE VS STEPHON

LYRICS: “Please excuse yourself, you’re very sick/Don’t confuse me with Marbury out this bitch/Run up on me at the light, you could lose your life”
Wayne VS the O’Bannon Bro (WHO?)

LYRICS “Listen close I got duct tape and rope/ I’ll leave you missin’ like the fuckin’ O’Bannons.”
Lil Wayne and Eminem Finally Collaborate
15 Dec 2009, written by Revelation 0 Comments
The wait is finally over for arguably the best two rappers in the game to come together on a track. There was the “Forever Remix” a few months ago that featured both artists on the same song, but it was clearly not a collaboration, but instead, just each rapper submitting their verse to a producer via email to peice together. The latest song to be leaked off Lil Wayne’s ongoing delayed album “The Rebirth” is called “Drop The World”. The Rebirth is Wayne’s rap/rock project that has been slated for release months ago but keeps getting pushed back due to inadequate buzz. “Drop the World” is the third song in as many weeks to supposedly leak off of Rebirth, an album that has seen so many singles and leaks drop on and off its ever-changing track list that it’s unclear what the state of the album is at this point. Eminem’s contribution stands out as the clear highlight of “Drop the World,” as he brings a furious verse that we can only hope is emblematic of the work Em might pack onto Relapse 2 in 2010.
Note: Eminem is releasing a new cd next week called “Relapse: Refill”. The cd is getting publicized as an actual studio album, but it is more like a mixtape. The songs are left over songs from his first album “The Relapse” and also includes the “Forever Remix” you’ve heard a million times. The 7 unreleased songs are being packaged with the original Relapse cd. Eminem has said he has going in a totally different direction with his new album “Relapse 2″ due out later in 2010.
Lil Wayne to Join T.I. and Plaxico
27 Oct 2009, written by Riz 0 Comments
Its a damn good thing Lil Wayne went on a recording frenzy this past year, because we are going to be without our usual every day does of Weezy for the next year. Lil’ Wayne is going to jail for his weapons charge after accepting a plea bargain. Mr. Lil will plead guilty for his possession of a 40 calibre gun found on his bus in 2007, to avoid a longer term behind bars on gun charges. If Lil Wayne had tried to fight the weapons charge, he could have faced anywhere from 3 1/2 to 15 years behind the bars. That sounds about right. Dante Stallworth got drunk and ran someone over with his car, and he got 1 month in jail. Lil Wayne doing 15 years for a gun that wasnt his sounds fair. I am really torn on how I actually feel about situations like this (T.I. Plaxico, ect.). On one hand, I feel that these guys are roll models, whether they like it or not. Much of their record sales come from the younger portion of our communities, and those are the kids who are looking up to them. On the other hand, these guys are from some of the poorest and most violent neighborhoods in the country. We cant expect them to just turn off their guard and natural instinct to protect themselves once they get a little bit of money. In any event, good luck in the slammer Weezy. I think as long as you stay sippin some home made syrup, and freestyling for the boys in the yard, you should do just fine. I would cut the hair first though. You dont want any one in there mistaking you for Mrs Lil Weezy.

Chris Brown Comeback Begins
30 Sep 2009, written by Revelation 0 Comments
The flag has dropped and the Chris Brown come back has begun. Today a new Chris Brown song debuted featuring Lil Wayne called “Transformer” produced by Swizz Beatz. Whether you like it or not, you will be hearing this song all Fall of 2009, so get used to it. To be honest, if Chris Breezy keeps putting out music like this he has the green light to punch out every girl on Earth, one at a time for all I care. Chris Brown is extremely talented and has some golden pipes, now as long as he doesn’t chokeslam any ladies for a year or two he should be a regular at the top of the charts. What I want to know is do people really still not like this kid for what he did? I understand it was an awful thing to do, but are you really not going to listen to his music because of his past? Hey news flash everyone you listen to Michael Jackson(no need to inform you), Dr. Dre, Elvis Costello, and Rick James so get over it. And yes you read that correctly, Rick James kidnapped, beat, and tortured a girl for over 6 days, his career turned out O.K., Chris Breezy should be fine.
Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne & Eminem- Forever Remix
27 Aug 2009, written by Revelation 3 CommentsIn a past interview a reporter asked Lil Wayne why he and Eminem never did a track together he replied, “I don’t know why we never did a song together, maybe he’s scared to get in the booth with me ahhhhhhhhh.” Not word for word but I couldn’t find the exact quote, but its a long those lines. Well Wayne you finally got on a track with Eminem and he completely destroyed you and everyone else on the song. I always wondered why Eminem didn’t get on more remixes and feature on other rappers songs, well its apparent that it is kind of embarrassing to have a guy feature on your song and just totally dominate ie. Jay-Z – Renegade. The internet is really buzzing and the overall consensus is that Eminem remains in a league by himself. Who are these other guys in this song anyway.
