The Bully Project
28 Apr 2011, written by ZootPatrol.com 0 CommentsBullying has been a hot button issue for more than a year now. Bullying is as old as us being monkeys and everyone seems to have a different view on it. Whether you don’t care and think it builds character for those being bullied or it’s a behavioral problem with the bullies and our society. Whatever your take, everyone can benefit from watching ”The Bully Project” and getting some real insight into what goes on. Especially since most of us ZP readers are 20 somethings with no kids and are no longer connected to the vicious high school popularity scene. The Bully Project is a documentary thats making some noise at the Tribeca Film Festival and is poised to be a driver behind tackling the issue of bullying.

Tarantino VS Coen Brothers Art Show
20 Apr 2011, written by Riz 0 CommentsLast week hundreds of Tarantino and Coen brothers fans packed into the super small Chelsea’s Bold Hype Gallery to view some amazing art based on the three directors. The line was three floors, two hallways, and a super long wait, but it was all well worth it. The art was mostly meant for die hard fans of the 2 directing teams, as a lot of the work had to do with inside jokes based on their movies.
Movie Connections App.

Six degrees of Kevin Bacon anyone? We live in a world trying to understand connections in everything so why not movies? Trying to connect actors to movies is a favorite past time of the seasoned movie buff friends but this new app, “Movies Mobile” by New England Complex Systems Institute takes it a bit further. Using IMDB’s database the network allows users to more deeply explore movie connections. NECS is best known for studying network structure influences for economic conditions, but told wired.com that it could also be done with social groups, disease spread and gene networks. A free version of the app is available for iphones.
Peter Travers “Sucker Punch” Review.
28 Mar 2011, written by ZootPatrol.com 0 Comments
Many of our readers and us were anticipating the release of “Sucker Punch” this past weekend. However, I don’t think anyone knew for sure whether it would actually be good or not. Personally, the trailer was not too enticing but I was relying on past success of director Zach Snyder movies “300″ and “Watchmen” Because of the Zoot Miami vacation none of us had time actually see it or talk to anyone who did. Peter Travers of Rolling Stone usually pins movies pretty well so I checked out his review this morning. Pretty much just confirming our doubts. Anyone has else who has seen it feel free to comment.

If You Watch It Backwards…
17 Mar 2011, written by Revelation 0 CommentsThere is a new site that is really blowing up quickly, and for a good reason. It is called ifyouwatchitbackwards.com and pretty much all it does is explain things as if they were performed backwards. For instance if you watch it backwards, SCHINDLER’S LIST is the happy story of German soldiers rescuing Jews from an unproductive factory, nursing them back to health, clothing them, and helping them move into temporary living quarters in Warsaw. Here is a collection of some really good ones with some imagery, then I also added a few bonus ones at the end.

Fast Five Movie Trailer
10 Mar 2011, written by Revelation 0 CommentsThe Fast and Furious series is making it’s return this summer with the best of the best cast from previous installments. All of the movies have been really entertaining, except for the ones Vin Diesel isn’t in, those blew, and this one looks like it can top them all. On top of all the explosions, fast cars, $100 million dollar heists, I am deeply in love with Mia Torreto, aka Jordana Brewster, I want to marry her, especially since she makes the best tuna sandwich on Earth, fact.
