Trustocorp Takes Over Brooklyn
20 Jul 2011, written by Riz 0 CommentsThis is a look at Brooklyn’s road and subway signs freshly hacked by TrustoCorp. These bombs feature some handy pictogram life instructions for the “Rough Road” and several “Things Get Better,” “Stay Positive” encouragements. With this heat I think New Yorkers need all the nods of encouragement they can get.

Gnarly NYC Movie Map
13 May 2011, written by Riz 0 CommentsIf you live in NYC, the chances that you have seen a movie star, or a film getting made are high. We love our movies, and this map is the perfect creation for any New Yorker. Bernie Hou of Alien Loves Predator, has spent the last five months cramming 91 movie references onto one awesome movie map of New York.
Pretty sweet, right? Even better, you can get a copy of it for yourself. The first person to e-mail the 91 movies in the poster, in order, to Hou will get a free copy of the poster (as well three random runner-ups). Just make sure you notice that the flickr version of the poster numbers each reference! Of course, if you don’t feel like doing all that work you can always buy an 18″x24″ print of the map for $16. But where is the fun in that?
Tarantino VS Coen Brothers Art Show
20 Apr 2011, written by Riz 0 CommentsLast week hundreds of Tarantino and Coen brothers fans packed into the super small Chelsea’s Bold Hype Gallery to view some amazing art based on the three directors. The line was three floors, two hallways, and a super long wait, but it was all well worth it. The art was mostly meant for die hard fans of the 2 directing teams, as a lot of the work had to do with inside jokes based on their movies.
Paper Guns BANG BANG!
14 Apr 2011, written by Riz 0 CommentsArtist Sarah Frost studied hundreds of YouTube videos which showed kids how to make paper guns. Guns that are probably a little too detailed and detailed for the purpose of kids. She’s revamped the whole paper and tape arsenal based on their instructional videos and the result was scary good.
Try Harder, Brooklyn
28 Mar 2011, written by Riz 0 CommentsA graffiti writer in Brooklyn offers up some advice to fellow vandals and New Yorkers in general from a Williamsburg rooftop. I see this every morning while Im waiting for the M train at the Marcy stop in Williamsburg, and each and everytime, it reminds me to keep on pushing. Graffiti is a really funny thing. People either complain about it, or embrace it and when it is a inspiring quote or touching picture, it can mean so much more.
Katsu Fake Phone Booth Ads
25 Mar 2011, written by Riz 0 CommentsKATSU is creating havoc around New York City. The graffiti artist is back at it with his personal spin on Nike and MoMA ads, featuring the likes of Steve Jobs, Bill Murry, Jay-Z, a young Morrissey, and Kurt Cobain. The other day I was walking down East Houston and saw Lil Wayne with the MoMa tag line above it. I obviously stopped dead in my tracks, pulled out my phone, and checked to see if there was a Lil Weezy exhibit at the MoMa. At least he fooled me. Catch them if you can, they really are awesome.

07 Mar 2011, written by Revelation 0 CommentsWe found the secret to Charlie Sheen’s endless win streak: Tiger’s blood and Adonis DNA have been hacked, and the recipe is below.
A take on the traditional Bloody Mary, this cocktail was created by the mixologists at the Moroccan restaurant Fifty Five in New York City. And just like Sheen himself, the cocktail is extremely potent. Besides the Bragg Aminos to give you a protein energy kick, there’s heat from ginger, chili peppers, wasabi, and two types of radish. The Glenmorangie Sherry provides the punch, while the olive juice, citrus and balsamic vinegar kick in some high-end flavor. So grab your Goddesses, mix up a few glasses, and prepare yourself for some winning.
Recipe is below, it is friggen gnarley gnarlington

Building The Empire State Building
02 Feb 2011, written by Revelation 0 CommentsBeing involved with architecture makes me appreciate building in the old days. There was no modern day machinery to do the work for you, if you wanted a bolt or a screw tightened, you did it yourself with a wrench. Looking at these vintage pictures of the building of the Empire State Building are really remarkable. Plus add the fact that I would literally shit my pants if I was sitting on an I-beam 80 stories in the air. These guys look so relaxed doing it like it’s no big deal. Here is a large collection of these guys constructing the Empire State Building piece by piece.
Check below for more insane photographs of the remarkable construction.
