Well, you self-proclaimed sexpert, the time has come to crank it up a notch. Fear not my young perverted Padawans, we did all the research for you. Pack your bags and your sexual paraphanalia. 10. Blind Date Party

If I didn’t know this party took place in Paris, would I still think it was so scandalous? Um, yes. Held in early March at the Bar of the Plaza Athenee, this isn’t just your normal masquerade party. There is a special, ahem, “blind date room.”

In order to participate in the Blind Date Party, you must follow these guidelines:

1. Wearing a mask is strictly requested to participate.
2. Please do not accept the hostess Invitation if you are in a couple, or in a relationship, or don’t feel like it.
3. Please do not forget to be respectful with the other guests inside the blind date room.
4. Blind date time: 7 minutes.

While both of these videos easily deserve their own spotlight I think it is fitting they go hand and hand today for pure awesomeness. Remember that break dancing video we posted here a while back (seen here), well that was from the 2010 Chelles Battle Pro, and the video below is the highlights of the 2011 battle, pure dopeness. Zoltan “The Magician” Torkos pulls off the first ever documented kickflip, making him the first surfer in four years to nail the trick on camera for Volcom Stone’s $10,000 Kickflip-Off Contest.

One clever person decided to intermix footage of the recent revolutions in Egypt and Tunisia of “Pale Blue Dot” to give an entirely different and immediate feeling to Carl Sagan’s classic narration. Very well done. We have featured Carl Sagan’s awesome narration before in those NASA videos, but if you don’t know who Carl Sagan is then google him and read about a genius.

I should just start naming crib of the week, Guz architecture residence of the week, because this is the third time I have picked a house from the amazing architecture firm based out of Singapore. This week we are gong to dive into the Cluny house, bringing the rainforest into your home (click images to enlarge to really see the detail of the residence.). Description from Guz Architects:

The project demonstrates how technology, planning and design can be applied sensitively to generate a comfortable, luxurious, yet sustainable family home.

Photovoltaic cells and solar water heaters are employed together with design for passive cooling and cross ventilation to reduce energy usage. Irrigation tanks and roof gardens collect and recycle rainwater; and the use of materials such as recycled teak and artificial timber adds warmth without compromising the finite resources of our environment.

National Geographic continues its analysis of the human race by looking at some of the numbers that characterize us as a population and by taking a shot at the face of the most “typical” person on the planet. I swear I am not typical, I am the most unique person to ever exist on planet Earth, yea right.

YouTuber cofauver grew a beard for 1 year and 6 weeks as part of a bet, and chronicled his transition from a clean-faced cub to a gruffy man, then wolfman, then statesman and beyond AND IT KICKS ASS. If I could grow a beard I would probably do this, but I have one little patch on the side of my cheeks where I can’t grow hair and it makes me look like a scruffy dirty crack head looking for spare change.

Two things we love here at Zoot is art and hip-hop. So when the two come together in any shape or form, it is usually a big hit with us, and I think Patrick Moberg nailed it with his Animal Pharm illustration series. In our language, one letter can really make a difference. Moberg decided to implement this statement, by changing one, sometimes a few, letters in rappers names to transform them into animals. Sounds weird and I guess it is, but the results are pretty rad for sure. Piggie smalls in the buildinggggggg. You can check Patrick Moberg’s website out for more of his work found here.
