What Is Being Creative?
03 Feb 2011, written by Revelation 0 CommentsHere is an awesome video on what is mean to be creative. With the wise words explaining creativeness and the act of creating is a showcase of the Flip phone which was based on a concept conceived during a 6 week long workshop done by Kristian Ulrich Larsen, Ewa Sendecka, Jeppe Vestergård and Victoria Kusk. Remember, “Creativity is the opposite of routine.” (You can check out more picture of the 3-sided phone under the video after the jump.)

Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine
02 Feb 2011, written by Revelation 0 CommentsYou’ve heard it before: Ruckus Juice, Mule Kick, Hillbilly Pop, Mountain Dew — the nicknames for moonshine, an often misunderstood spirit of Appalachian heritage. But just like your personal tastes, moonshine has also done its fair share of growing up, thanks to modern craft distillers. Now, the high-proof corn whiskey is not only legally available, but delicious to boot. And yes, it still packs a mighty wallop. Take Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine ($25+) for instance. The family company, based in Gatlinburg, TN follows centuries old secret recipes to create a superior moonshine using local ingredients from East Tennessee farms. Their 100 proof shine is even available with batch soaked cherries and sold in mason jars. Yee-haw, indeed. You can buy it here for just $25.

Building The Empire State Building
02 Feb 2011, written by Revelation 0 CommentsBeing involved with architecture makes me appreciate building in the old days. There was no modern day machinery to do the work for you, if you wanted a bolt or a screw tightened, you did it yourself with a wrench. Looking at these vintage pictures of the building of the Empire State Building are really remarkable. Plus add the fact that I would literally shit my pants if I was sitting on an I-beam 80 stories in the air. These guys look so relaxed doing it like it’s no big deal. Here is a large collection of these guys constructing the Empire State Building piece by piece.
Check below for more insane photographs of the remarkable construction.

28 Jan 2011, written by Revelation 0 CommentsYou may consider your hammock a warm weather fortress of solitude, but is it your only option? We think not. Designed by Daniel Pouzet and Fred Frety with a hive/nest-like structure, the Nestrest hanging lounger is made of DeDon fiber weaved to provide sturdiness, durability and privacy. There’s even a wide variety of colors, patterns, and options to personalize it to your locale. The Nestrest can be hung from a tree (over water if you’re daring enough), perched on an outlook, or placed on the ground in your backyard or patio for an instant getaway. Make it a destination for reading, drinking or just soaking in a moment of solitude — just don’t call it wicker. You can buy it at the website found here.
