Did you know that Ireland is not a part of Great Britain? It isn’t. Well, Northern Ireland is but Ireland is not—though it is part of the United Kingdom. Oh, you didn’t know there were two Irelands? Then you need to watch this entertaining video which explains all that and much, much more. Trust us it is a lot more entertaining than one would think.

Being involved with architecture makes me appreciate building in the old days. There was no modern day machinery to do the work for you, if you wanted a bolt or a screw tightened, you did it yourself with a wrench. Looking at these vintage pictures of the building of the Empire State Building are really remarkable. Plus add the fact that I would literally shit my pants if I was sitting on an I-beam 80 stories in the air. These guys look so relaxed doing it like it’s no big deal.
