The Best Midnight Madness Dunk Contest Ever

01 Sep 2010, written by Revelation 0 Comments

Some people take sport to a higher level and make it art. Justin Darlington and Guy Dupuy try to do this during a dunking contest and in my eyes they succeed with honors. This is one of the best head to head dunk contests I’ve ever seen, of course Jordan vs Wilkins taking the cake but come on throw these kids a bone. What makes this contest unique is the creativity of the dunks pulled off, some of which I’ve never seen before. I especially enjoy the rushing of the court by the crowd after every dunk, it adds a great touch.

“Pier Pressure” New Art Installation From Banksy

31 Aug 2010, written by Revelation 0 Comments

The latest art installation from Banksy popped up at Brighton Pier in England. The re-purposed child’s ride features a dolphin tangled up in fishing nets attempting to escape a leaking BP oil drum, can you say genius. It’s funny how when something isn’t hot news anymore the American media tends to completely shut it out of the headlines. Since they stopped the oil I haven’t heard one word on how the clean up was going and or the effects it is having. It’s old news so out of sight out of mind, so much so your kids are bound to ride it with a big smile on their face.

The tricks pulled off are in super slow motion to give your naked eye the chance to see what goes into pulling off those gnarley tricks you see the pros pull. Shot by Raphaël Aupy using a red camera. The Coolest Rope Swing Video Ever

20 Aug 2010, written by Revelation 0 Comments

Rope swings and cliff jumping is one of the coolest and most fun things to do on Earth, simple as that, so when I saw this video I was just blown away with it’s pure awesomeness. The video features Mike Wilson killing it on the Truckee River doing 60 foot double and triple back flips. The video is very well put together and great music to go along with it. I love how everyone rafting down the river pulls over and enjoys the show, as would I. If this doesn’t get you in the mood for the weekend, I don’t know what will. You can visit Mike Miller’s site for more extreme stuff found here.

But anyone can line up a playlist of a bunch of cartoon themes, so DeStorm wanted to do something a bit different. Fire Hydrant Art

11 Aug 2010, written by Revelation 0 Comments

There are millions of fire hydrants all over the world, but for some reason they are painted red every single time. I get the whole “everyone needs to be aware there is a fire hydrant there so lets paint it red” theory, but come on spice it up a little bit. That is why I have gone around my town and painted every fire hydrant as a penis, there is now 50, 3 foot tall penis hydrants scattered throughout my town, I rule. On a little more creative note, here is a bunch of fire hydrant art found around the country.

Words cannot describe how very excellent this is: DeviantARTist Suzuran drew 54 Marvel characters in the sprite-tastic style of classic Mega Man. If you wish to weep tears of joy, click the image above to see the full panorama in all it’s glory. The Pontaic Firebird That Could Have Been

05 Aug 2010, written by Revelation 0 Comments

If you were one of the many souls whose minds immediately leapt to thoughts of a resurrected Firebird when GM first introduced the Chevrolet Camaro Concept way back in 2006, you’re probably a bit bitter about the fact GM kicked Pontiac to the curb before that dream every came to life. Fortunately, Classic Design Concepts stepped in to fill the void in a big way. The Firebreather takes some of the more iconic elements of the Firebird’s history and melds them with the already muscular lines of Chevrolet’s pony bruiser. In addition to the creative body work, the car packs a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that manages to dump 599 horsepower onto the rear tires and the Classic Design Concepts team also took the time to work over the interior with a few Firebird-like design elements. If you really want one you are in luck, they are producing just 50 of them for only $60,000 which isn’t that bad when you think of the limited quantity of the car. Since we know you are made of money go to the site found here to go buy one.
