11 Predictions Back To The Future II Got Right

04 Oct 2010, written by Revelation 0 Comments

The Back to the Future series is one of the best trilogies of all time, it is hard to argue that. When talking about the 3 movies 75% of the time people will say the second movie was their favorite, as I am on of them. They did such a great job of imagining the future in a crazy, but believable way. The thing is, they were a lot more accurate then people give them credit for. A great website 11 points, put together this awesome list of things that BTHF2 nailed on the head. If this blows your mind, then this will also really blow your mind, another gem from the minds of back to the future.

#1 Watching multiple TV channels simultaneously.

When “Back to the Future Part II” came out in 1989, the only people who had tons of channels were people in rural areas with no cable service who had giant satellite dishes in their backyards. Even if you had the most souped up cable package your cable company offered, a finite number of networks existed. We were many, many years from two hands worth of Discovery channels, ESPNU, SoapNet, SyFy and whatever the hell The N is. So when Marty McFly Jr. comes home and turns on six channels on his flat-screen TV… some of which had channel numbers in the hundreds… this was a far-fetched view of how we might watch TV in the future. Since then, everyone got hundreds of channels (and flat-screens). Picture-in-picture came… and basically went. And watching multiple shows simultaneously isn’t a fantasy anymore… several years back DirecTV debuted their Game Mix feature that let you watch eight NFL games simultaneously. (Which, by the way, was a great way for me to get a side-by-side real-time comparison of just how slow the Browns defense was compared to the rest of the league.) And this isn’t even taking into account the way people use the Internet now with tabbed browsing, multiple IM windows, RSS feeds and social networking sites constantly pumping us full of ADHD-inducing visual stimulation. Marty McFly Jr. watches six channels; on the side I put images of DirecTV’s Game Mix and a PIP television screen for comparison.

10 Of The Most Pathetic IMDB Profiles

22 Sep 2010, written by Revelation 0 Comments

So you move to L.A. from the east coast to become a famous actor or actress, sounds great. You get there and realize that 80 million other people had the same idea as you, not so great. You still try to become an actor because, well, that’s why you traveled across the country. You quickly find out that being an actor entails having talent, being good looking, and most of all catching a big break that is more unlikely than winning the lottery. So after your one little cameo in a movie, where you got paid nothing, you stop following your dream and become another person from the east coast who does nothing with their life besides party, go to the beach, and work 4 hours a day at a coffee shop, which follows with them telling all their friends from back home how awesome California is. What they forgot is that their pathetic IMDB profile is still online for everyone to laugh at, thanks losers.

The Last Exorcism Chatroulette Reactions

19 Aug 2010, written by Revelation 0 Comments

In viral marketing for the movie The Last Exorcism due out August 27th, the girl from the movie took to Chatroulette, everyone’s favorite place, to give some pervert guys looking to score some boobs a shock of a life time. The best part about these reactions is how excited they are to be seeing some boob, ears perked up, eyes wide open, just waiting, but instead of boobs they get an exorcism, classic. That’s what you get perverts.

The Many Faces Of Johnny Depp

16 Aug 2010, written by Revelation 0 Comments

Personally I think Johnny Depp is one of the most talented and versatile actors in the industry. He totally transforms himself in every movie role he stars in and hasn’t played a normal guy ever really. Below is a picture of his many faces throughout his movie career, pretty wild if you ask us. I really enjoy his tranny look, he nailed that one. (click the image to enlarge)

RunPee for your Iphone

RunPee for your Iphone

You may or may not have heard of this site and readily available iphone app. It’s truly an invention of generation Y or straight movie nerdalerts, either way its good. It addresses something we all have struggled with at one time or another through out our lives. And that is not wanting to get up and take a piss in the middle of a movie, especially one we paid to see at a theater with no pause button.

The premise of RunPee.com is to let you know when the best time of a movie is to get up take a pee. It offers a few classic movies but only focuses on those in theaters because in those cases taking a pee equals losing time, money and entertainment.  RunPee let’s you know the exact time and scenes within a movie that are best to miss and also offers a summary of what you would miss in the average 4 minute time span it would take to do a leak.

Blackberry has no application for RunPee yet and won’t work in your blackberry browser because of the flash content, this is truly piss poor blackberry. If you don’t have an iphone you can print the run pee times right from the site, RunPee.com If you are an avid movie goer and have an over active bladder this and ditropan may be a great option for you!
